TMDL

Total Maximum Daily Limit (TMDL) is set by DEQ. DEQ has deemed Bayou Manchac as an “impaired waterway” for several reasons; with the lack of Dissolved Oxygen (D.O.) being most critical. Our new permits have stricter TMDL limits, which states that we have to produce higher D.O. levels in our effluent discharge. Over the next 3 years, we will upgrade these systems going into Bayou Manchac to meet these new TMDL limits.
